Looking for the perfect seafood boil recipe? If you're a seafood lover, then you know that there's nothing quite like a seafood boil. And if you want to take your seafood boil to the next level, then you need to add some king crab legs. Here's how to cook a seafood boil with king crab legs:
Seafood Boil Ingredients
- 6 pounds of king crab legs
- 2 pounds of shrimp (shell & tail-on)
- 2 pounds of corn on the cob
- 1 pound of smoked sausage
- 1 cup of Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 3 lemons, halved
- AKC 'Just Add Butter' Seafood Seasoning
Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add the Old Bay seasoning and stir to combine.
- Add the smoked sausage to the pot and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
- Add the corn on the cob to the pot and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
- Add the shrimp and king crab legs to the pot and let them cook for about 3 minutes.
- While the shrimp and king crab legs are cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the AKC 'Just Add Butter' Seafood Seasoning to the pan and stir to combine.
- Once the shrimp is pink and the king crab legs are warmed through, lift the steam basket from the pot and dump the basket out on a table. From here, you're ready to dig in!
Chef's Tips
Choose the Right Pot – Make sure your pot has a strainer/steamer basket and a handle. This will come in hand when lifting the seafood boil from the boiling water.
BUTTER – When it comes to a seafood boil, there's no such thing as too much boil. Rather than pouring your butter on top of the seafood, we recommend giving everyone their own ramekin so that they can dip and dunk however they please.
